28/7/2022 At the Bali Silent Retreat, nestled at the foot of Mt Batur, I find myself gazing deeply into the forest. After four hours of yoga and meditation, I am caught in a paradoxical state. I long to float into the abyss, yet simultaneously feel rooted to the ground. A typical Aquarian experience! It's been a while since I've truly felt connected to my body in this profound way. The stress and chaos of city living often overwhelms me. Looking ahead, I am committed to honouring my body in a more liberating manner. I strive to consciously tap into this state of flow and carry its essence within me.

In this artwork, the artist invites us to envision an internal garden that requires attentive nurturing. Symbolising this garden is a self-portrait, wherein a multifaceted muse adorns golden wings and a butterfly face. It signifies transformation, taking flight, and surrendering to the dance of life. Painted in gentle hues of pink, the piece captures the enchantment of turning inward, evading the confines of the mind, and embracing the body to discover the state of flow. It embodies the notion of awakening the inner blossoms to ignite a radiant golden light.
