“Portals of the Forest was the first painting that opened the way for this collection to unfold. I wanted to capture the deep rainforest as a living, interconnected world, where a stag becomes a source of energy, dappled light and coloured orbs dance across the growth, and hidden eyes slowly reveal themselves. The longer you look, the more worlds emerge; a meeting of light and darkness, life and decay, and the quiet magic that exists between them.”
